Sales Assistant – Watches & Jewellery

A very well established watch & jewellery retailer in central Coventry are working closely with DB Charles Recruitment to hire a new sales assistant to join the team and business.

The store has gained huge reputation since its time of opening and is very popular within the local community and with passing trade. The store is able to offer its customers very high end watch brands as well as jewellery products, plus staff deliver the best in customer service, in order to keep standards high.

For the position of sales assistant, the hired individual will be required to:

• Play a crucial role in assisting the store in delivering its sales targets and achieving its key objectives
• The role will be focussed on watch sales of some prestigious brands, however you will also get to aid in jewellery sales as well.
• Focussed on delivering excellent customer service.
• Developing in-depth knowledge of the products / brands (watches) and conveying this with pride & enthusiasm to customers in a sophisticated sales approach
• One-to-one sales and product demonstration
• Ability to up-sell other products and maximise one-to-one sales opportunities.
• Assisting customers
• To work alongside management to maximise profits, exceed client’s requirements and set an excellent standard of customer service.
• Maintaining the excellent presentation of the watches, jewellery and store.
• You may also be required to carry out other tasks under the direction of your manager, senior sales team, or the managing director.

After speaking with the hiring manager at length, the type of person / CV they are looking to see, will cover a number of the below requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience or a passion to work in a luxury retail sales setting
• Customer-focused, able to handle customer complaints and queries in a highly professional manner.
• Strong administration skills with great diligence.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Capable multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise workload depending on business needs.
• Well presented.
• A want to learn
• Able to commit to an in-store position working in central Coventry
• Able to work Saturdays, with days off being on Sundays plus one day off in the week

The position will be working 5 of 6 days. Getting one day off in the week and Sunday’s. The role will pay a salary of £25,000 to £27,000 per annum experience dependent with an additional bonus scheme on top. The daily hours of the role will be 9:00am to 5:00pm.
